Election 2018 - Information for Voters

Monday, October 22, 2018 is election day for municipalities and school boards across Ontario. This election includes the election of Collingwood Council including the position of Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and seven Councillors, as well as school board trustees. A full list of candidates is available at www.collingwood.ca/election/candidate-list.

New this election, voters will cast their ballot using the Internet or Telephone.  These methods provide flexibility, which allows for a longer voting period than traditional voting. It is also more convenient, more accessible, better enables electors to exercise their right to vote, and results are available sooner than the previous vote by mail voting system, with complete accuracy. Voting will open at 10:00 a.m. on October 12 and run until 8:00 p.m. on October 22, 2018.
