"Strong Women Mentoring Program" The Strong Women Mentoring Program is a set of 12 workshops that will be running Mondays from September 14th through to December 7th. Workshops will run from 11am - 2pm and lunch will be provided by Boston Pizza.
Rejuvenate your mind, body and soul with Yoga on the Deck at Mountain Springs Resort!! Beginning on Wednesday, September 9th, Leslie Neirman will be holding Yoga classes on Mountain Springs Resort's pool side deck over looking the beautiful fall colours the mountain graces us with each Fall! Classes will be held on every Wednesday for a 6 week duration. Class Times: 8:00 am and 11:00 am and are $12 per class, or 6 classes for $60!

To obtain a dog and/or cat licence with the Town of Collingwood you must show proof of rabies vaccination from your Veterinarian. Proof of Micro-chip (if applicable) and Spayed/neutered (if applicable) is also required to receive reduced rates.

The market operates each Saturday morning in the heart of Collingwood’s historic downtown from the holiday weekend in May until Thanksgiving Weekend. It is located in the municipal parking lot at the corner of Second and Pine Streets and is open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Local vendors feature a wide range of organic vegetables and fruit, baking, meats and cheeses, flowers and trees, jams and preserves, handcrafted items and more. Special activities for the family, entertainment and artists from the Georgian Bay Arts and Crafts Association are featured each week.

Learn more about Georgian's new Workplace Communication Skills for Construction Trades course. This program is being offered free to Canadian newcomers (immigrants and refugees) who are trained in carpentry, electrical and plumbing trades and who want to improve their occupational language skills. Information session will take place at Georgian College's Barrie Campus (One Georgian Drive).
ON SUNDAY OCTOBER 4TH 2009 WHO WILL YOU BE RUNNING FOR? Come out and join us at Harbourview Park in Collingwood as we walk or run to raise money towards creating a future without breast cancer. In 2008 our Collingwood run site raised over $150,000 towards the cause! It was a 30% increase over 2007 and was the 2nd highest increase in ALL of the run sites across Ontario! Our Collingwood Run Committee is extremely proud of our community! We look forward to seeing everyone again this year!

The Collingwood and District Historical Society meeting will be held Monday October 5th at 7pm at the Leisure Time Club, 100 Minnesota St., Collingwood. "Life in Ontario's Rural Schools", speaker, Myrtle Carruthers will recount her experiences as both a student and a teacher in a "One Room Rural Schoolhouse". Admission Membership or $2.00
