If you are a musician, singer, actor, dancer, juggler, artist, magician, comedian, or other entertainer, there are locations in downtown Collingwood where you can perform and showcase your talent!

Collingwood Busking Workshop!

Busking is a great way to grow and develop as a performer or musician and also earn a little money. Join professional musician and experienced busker, Dale Gibson for a workshop about busking. Learn the most important aspects of getting noticed, holding an audience, being courteous, and making a positive, lasting impression. Come prepared to perform a short set, receive feedback and hear and see what others are doing! Free to registered participants. Limited to 8. Dale Gibson has been performing solo and in bands for 40 years. He sings, plays harmonica and guitar and teaches his craft to students of all ages. 
Acquiring a Collingwood busking license is a three-step process:

Step One:

Book a 10 min. audition on one of the following scheduled 2018 dates:

April 24, 5:30 - 6:30 pm

May 8, 5:30 - 6:30 pm

May 29, 5:30 - 6:30 pm

June 12, 5:30 - 6:30 pm

Auditions are held at the Simcoe Street Theatre, 65 Simcoe Street, Collingwood


Step Two:

Apply for and purchase a 2018 Busking License 
(Collingwood residents: $25, Other: $50)

Step Three:

Receive your Busker Photo ID, wear it and perform daily at designated locations between 10:00 a.m. & 9:00 p.m. until Dec 31, 2018
