A meeting of the Committee of the Whole will be held Monday, July 7, 2008 at the Leisure Time Club, 100 Minnesota Street, Collingwood commencing at 4:00pm.

The proposed Zoning By-law Amendment applies to those lands east of the Pretty River Spillway as depicted in a shaded tone on the key map provided below. The lands are legally described as Part of Lots 43 and 44, Concession 7 and water lot K-7 lying in front of Lots 43 and 44, Town of Collingwood, County of Simcoe.  
 
The subject property is presently designated in the Town of Collingwood Official Plan as             Environmental Protection. It is presently zoned  Residential Second Density Exception Seven (R2-7) and Recreation and Conservation (RC) in Town of Collingwood Zoning By-law No. 87-61,  as amended.
 
The effect of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to zone all of those lands that are located east of the Pretty River Spillway and shown in a shaded tone on the key map below, Environmental Protection (EP) and/or Environmental Protection Exception (EP-E) in conformity with the approved Official Plan
 
 
 
5.2              Public Meeting (5:00pm-7:00pm) – Industrial Noise, Odour & Vibration
 
Public invited to bring forward comments, questions and concerns regarding the industrial noise, odour and vibration pollution experienced in the east end of Collingwood. Representatives will be present from the Ministry of the Environment, Collingwood Ethanol, Canadian Mist, Collingwood East Environmental Action Committee, and the Ministry of Health.

5.3       Proposed Plan of Subdivision Mair Mills Estates (7:15pm)
 
The proposed Plan of Subdivision pertains to lands located on the south side of Kells Crescent, commonly known as Mair Mills Estates Plan of Subdivision (Phase 3). The property is bordered to the north and west by existing residential lots, and to the south and east by the Blue Mountain Golf and Country Club, and to the west by an aggregate operation. The subject property has a lot area of approximately 2.06 ha. The lands are legally described as Part of the North Half of Lot 44, Concession 11, formerly in the Township of Nottawasaga, now in the Town of Collingwood, County of Simcoe. The subject properties are presently designated in the Town of Collingwood Official Plan as a site-specific Variable Density Residential designation and are presently zoned in the Town of Collingwood, Zoning By-law No. 87-61, as amended, as Holding Residential Second Density Exception Thirty-Four (HR2-34).
 
THE PURPOSE OF the proposed Plan of Subdivision is to subdivide the parcel of land into smaller lots and blocks. The effect of the proposed subdivision is to create lots and blocks consisting of fourteen (14) lots proposed for single detached dwelling units. The remaining portion of the proposed subdivision will be divided into blocks which will either be conveyed or as easements to the golf course.
 
The subject lands were subject to an application for a plan of subdivision which received draft plan approval on January 6, 2004 (County of Simcoe File No. CW-T-0201, Town File No. SDR-2003-08). The draft plan approval lapsed on January 7, 2007 before Phases 2 and 3 of the plan of subdivision could be registered.
