Notice Of Complete Application And Notice Of Intention To Pass A Zoning By-Law Amendment To Remove A Holding Symbol

NOTICE OF COMPLETE APPLICATION AND NOTICE OF INTENTION TO PASS A ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT TO REMOVE A HOLDING SYMBOL
 
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Collingwood intends to pass an amending by-law to remove a Holding (H) zone symbol from the Collingwood Zoning By-law No. 2010-040, as amended, under Section 34 and Section 36 of the Planning Act, R.S.O 1990, c. P. 13, as amended.  This application has also been deemed to be a complete submission within the meaning of Section 34(10.1) of the Planning Act, R.S.O 1990, c. P. 13, as amended. 
 
The earliest date that Council might consider removing the Holding zone symbol is during its regularly scheduled Council meeting held on Monday June 26th, 2017 commencing at 5:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 97 Hurontario Street, Collingwood, Ontario.
 
The proposed Zoning By-law Amendment pertains to lands located within the Mountaincroft Subdivision, specifically being identified as Lots 77-119 and Lots 128 – 148 on Lockerbie Crescent on registered plan of subdivision 51M-1092. 
 
Schedule “A” entitled Land Use Plan of the Town of Collingwood Official Plan identifies the subject property as being designated as Residential.   The Collingwood Zoning By-law, as amended, identifies the subject property as being in the Holding Twelve Residential Third Density (H12) R3 and Holding Twelve Residential Third Density Exception Three (H12) R3-3 zones. 
 
The purpose of this Zoning By-law Amendment is to remove the Holding Twelve (H12) symbol to permit these lots to be developed for residential purposes.  In order for the Holding Twelve (H12)’ symbol to be removed from these lots Council shall be satisfied that the following condition has been addressed; 1) confirmation of adequate and functional municipal servicing. 
 
Once the Holding Twelve (H12) symbol is removed the zoning for the land will be Residential Third Density (R3) and Residential Third Density Exception Three (R3-3).
 
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION relating to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is available for inspection Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at Planning Services at 55 Ste. Marie Street, Collingwood.
