VISION AND LEADERSHIP FOR A PROGRESSIVE AND GROWING TOWN
Chief Administrative Officer
If you’re looking for a place to live and work that offers extraordinary professional and personal vistas, the Town of Collingwood may be exactly what you seek. Located in the heart of Ontario’s most beautiful four-season resort region, Collingwood is in demand and growing steadily. Combining traditional charm and history with the best recreation in Southern Ontario, this is a community that’s attracting business, tourism, retirees and young families in increasing numbers every year. With a permanent population of 17,290 and inclusive of seasonal residents a population of 24,600, Collingwood has an excellent educational system and first rate healthcare facilities. You will take over from a retiring C.A.O. and preside over the implementation of a new strategic plan for the municipality. You’ll embrace an organizational vision: Naturally wonderful. Healthy by design. Sustainable by choice. Inviting by tradition.
Reporting to the Town Council, you will join in the leadership of this 150-year-old Town at a pivotal point in its development. Take responsibility for the timely and responsive delivery of services to the municipality’s residents and businesses. Oversee the sustainable stewardship of Collingwood’s human, financial and physical resources. Encourage the development of Collingwood as a regional employment hub. Working with your senior team, you will generate a visionary business plan, make sound policy decisions and manage the performance of your people as they serve a growing population. Encourage economic development that enhances the municipality and supports the strategic direction of the long range plan. Act as an advisor to Council as it promotes the interests of Collingwood.
In addition to your degree and ten years of experience as a senior manager, you have excelled both as a strategist and an operational leader. An inclusive communicator, consensus builder and active proponent of customer service, you have demonstrated a sound grasp of best practices and financial management. Whether you are an organizational leader in the public or private sector, there’s a beautiful resort town looking for your leadership.
