First Annual Shipyards Social

8 September 2017 – Relive the days of the Collingwood Shipyards at the first annual Shipyards Social.

On Saturday, September 16, from noon until 4:00 p.m., join museum staff, former shipyard workers and community members for an afternoon of memories, history, and more.

There will be lots of excitement for all ages, as the Collingwood Healthy Kids Community Challenge imagination station will be onsite to provide an afternoon of creative fun.

If you’ve been looking to learn more about Collingwood’s shipbuilding heritage, there will be a copy of The Shipbuilders of Collingwood by Ursula Heller up for bids in a silent auction, along with other exciting door prizes.

A community BBQ will be available from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with coffee and treats to follow.

Extra parking will be available at the HarbourEdge Centre on the corner of Minnesota Street and Huron Street.

The Museum Staff would like to thank the event sponsors, including Balmoral Place Retirement Community and Living Water Resort and Spa.
