2017 Creative Collingwood Symposium

27 October 2017 – You are invited to join some of the best local creative minds to inspire, educate and connect at this year’s Creative Collingwood Symposium.
The Parks Recreation and Culture department and the South Georgian Bay Small Business Enterprise Centre will host the fourth annual Creative Collingwood Symposium on Wednesday, November 8, at the Simcoe Street Theatre.
Join ‘creatives’ from across the South Georgian Bay area for a keynote presentation given jointly by Angie Aranda and Parul Pandya from Toronto Arts Foundation and Naty Tremblay from Sketch Working Arts. Two breakout sessions follow the keynote presentation and the evening caps off with a networking reception with delicious appetizers and refreshments.
The theme for this year’s Symposium is The Arts & Positive Change in Communities and using examples and discussion, will explore cultural inclusiveness and expression across all arts disciplines as it relates to entrepreneurial initiatives.
The Creative Collingwood Symposium will leave you inspired and is not to be missed if you are an artist, creative professional, arts administrator, creator, emerging talent or cultural enthusiast!
The event is FREE and seating is limited so reserve your spot today!
“This event is a forum to bring the creative community together, exchange ideas and discuss new perspectives while meeting others working or volunteering in creative fields in the Collingwood area,” said Tanya Mazza, Collingwood’s Arts and Culture Coordinator.
“Last year there were more than 100 participants and we’re excited to be working with the South Georgian Bay Small Business Enterprise Centre to bring this event to the community once again.”
The Collingwood Creative Symposium will be held at the Simcoe Street Theatre, Wednesday, November 8, from 4:00 and 7:30 p.m. The symposium is free, but attendees must register in advance.
