February Family Jam happening February 19

5 February 2018 – February Family Jam returns this Family Day, February 19 with great activities enjoyed in previous years and exciting new additions.


On Family Day, Monday, February 19, come on out to Central Park – including the YMCA, Curling Club and Central Park Arena -- for a full day of family fun! There will be skating and shinny, swimming and a ‘Power off and Play’ scavenger hunt. You can also design and make your own buttons, try out curling (don’t forget your clean running shoes for the ice) or snowshoeing. Have fun in the pool at the Collingwood YMCA or Centennial Aquatic Centre. When you need to warm up, stop by the campfire to keep you and your family toasty!

The Healthy Kids Community Challenge activities will be based on the new theme of Power Off and Play. Have fun with the street hockey equipment or practice your shot at the shooter tutor net.There will also be outdoor winter fun including giant games, snowman building, and snow construction. Don’t forget to stop by the fruit and veg photo booth, quench your thirst at the hydration station, or enjoy fresh fruits and veggies, while supplies last.
