By-law to close portion of Sixth Line

Summary: 

BEING A BY-LAW TO CLOSE PART OF THE ROAD ALLOWANCE KNOWN AS SIXTH LINE IN THE TOWN OF COLLINGWOOD

WHEREAS Section 34 of the Municipal Act 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25, as amended, authorizes a municipality to permanently close highways including all road allowances over which it has jurisdiction, as deemed desirable;
 
AND WHEREAS Council of The Corporation of the Town of Collingwood has deemed it desirable to close part of Sixth Line;
 
AND WHEREAS notice has been provided of the proposed closure pursuant to By-law No. 03-12 of The Corporation of the Town of Collingwood;
 
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF COLLINGWOOD HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
 
1. THAT part of the road allowance known as Sixth Line, that being Part of Lot 41, Concession 7 and Part of the Road Allowance between Concessions 6 and 7, described as Parts 1 and 2 of Plan 51R-41412, Town of Collingwood, County of Simcoe, as outlined on Schedule A, be hereby closed;
 
2. THAT this By-law shall be registered in the land registry office.
 
3. THAT this By-Law shall come into full force and effect on the date of final passage hereof at which time all By-laws that are inconsistent with the provisions of this By-law and the same are hereby amended insofar as it is necessary to give effect to the provisions of this By-law;
