Proposed Building Permit Fee Amendment
In accordance with Section 7 of the Building Code Act, 1992 and the Municipal Act, 2001 the Town of Collingwood hereby gives notice of a Public Meeting with respect to amendments to the By-law No. 2005-33, a by-law to regulate construction, demolition and change of use permits and inspections; and building permit fees identified in the Town of Collingwood Fees and Service Charge By-law. Any person wishing to make representation with respect to the proposed amendment to the building fees, may do so at a Public Meeting scheduled for January 18, 2010 at 5:00pm in the Council Chambers located in the Town Hall, 97 Hurontario Street, Collingwood.
The proposed by-law amendment includes the requirement of a lot grading plan and deposit with all applicable building permit applications in the amount of $3,000 to be refundable upon completion. This fee is to be identified in the Fees and Service Charge By-law of the Town of Collingwood. The purpose of the fee is to ensure compliance with the lot grading plans submitted at the time of building permit application.
