Sanitary Sewer Renewal Program – Phase 2
Notice of Public Open House
The Town of Collingwood and C.C. Tatham & Associates Ltd. have completed their preliminary assessment in support of Phase 2 of the Town’s Sanitary Sewer Renewal Program. The study involved an evaluation of aging and deteriorated sanitary sewers in the Town of Collingwood. Approximately 3.3 km of sanitary sewer will be replaced or repaired in three contracts as described below, to be completed between 2010 and 2012.
Contract No. 1 (2010 Construction)– Beech Street (between Second Street & Fifth Street), Fifth Street (between Beech Street & Maple Street), Robinson Street (between Hamilton Street & Collins Street) and George Street (between St. Marie Street & Robinson Street).
Contract No. 2 (2011 Construction)– Napier Street (between Hume & Dillon), Market Lane (between Market Street & St. Paul Street), Market Street (between Market Lane & Hume Street) and Fourth Street (between St. Marie Street & St. Paul Street).
Contract No. 3 (2012 Construction)– Rodney Street (between Huron Street & Simcoe Street) and Simcoe Street (between Rodney & Pretty River Parkway).
A Public Open House will be held at the Council Chambers, on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The purpose of the Open House will be to inform the community about the project and obtain input from residents, businesses and institutions that may be affected during construction.
Representatives from the Town and C.C. Tatham & Associates Ltd. will be available to discuss all of the aspects of the project including schedules and temporary servicing impacts.
