FIRST STREET AND HURON STREET RECONSTRUCTION
High Street to Rodney Street
The reconstruction of First Street and Huron Street from High Street easterly to Rodney Street will be resuming in April.
During the week of April 19th, the contractor, Miwel Construction Ltd., will return to erect construction notice and warning signs and bring in his equipment and materials needed to complete the 2010 works. Full time construction work for this project is scheduled to resume the week of April 26th,
The work in 2010 will include the completion of the concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter; traffic signal installation at the intersections of High Street, Spruce Street, Cedar Street, Pine Street, Hurontario Street and Heritage Drive; tree planting and streetscaping; and the final lift of asphalt.
As with any major road reconstruction projects, there will be traffic disruptions. We apologize for this inconvience. Within the construction areas, traffic will be restricted to two lanes, one eastbound lane and one westbound lane.
