Tender: PW2010-03 Construction of the Sanitary Sewer Renewal Program Phase 2, Contract 1

 

Tenders, sealed in envelopes clearly marked as to contents, will be received by the Town of Collingwood, Attention:  Sara Almas - Clerk until 3:30 p.m. local time on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 for the construction of the works described below.

 

The tenders will be opened and read publicly at the Town office directly following the tender closing.

 

The Work generally consists of the reconstruction of approximately 1.5 km of existing road located on Beech Street, Fifth Street, Robinson Street and George Street including the replacement of approximately 1.4 km of existing sanitary sewer and services to property line, the installation of approximately 1.2 km of storm sewer and the replacement of 370 m of water main and services to property line. 

 

The Work is anticipated to start June 7, 2010. The Work is to be completed, including placement of base course asphalt, by October 30, 2010.

 

Complete tender documents will be available for pick-up Wednesday, April 28, 2010 and may be obtained from C.C. Tatham & Associates Ltd. on payment in the amount of $168.00 (including GST) per set payable to the Consulting Engineer which is non-refundable.

 

Each Tender shall be accompanied by a Tender deposit in the form of a certified cheque made payable to the Town of Collingwood in the amount of Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00).

 

Tenders are subject to a formal contract being prepared and executed.  The Corporation of the Town of Collingwood reserves the right to reject any or all tenders and the lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
