THAT the content of the Council – Planning and Development Agenda for June 21st, 2010 be adopted as amended to include the Addendum as presented.

West Mountain Road Secondary Plan, David Slade & Andrew Pascuzzo, DC Planning Consultants (on behalf of Huntingwood Developments)
Mr. David Slade, planning consultant on behalf of the development Huntingwood Trails, addressed Council to request support to consider an official plan amendment for the proposal. Mr. Slade expressed concern that the report was a more comprehensive review, then their original request. Mr. Slade noted that further work with respect to their official plan amendment application is required how could be ready within approximately 4 weeks. Municipal services including a pumping station are available for the site and located within the Silver Glen Preserve development adjacent to the subject property.
The proponent addressed questions from Council. Mayor Carrier advised the deputation of the process that will occur during the staff report discussion.

B2010-01 Delegated Authority – Conditional Building Permit

THAT Staff Report B2010-01, recommending that Council enact and pass a by-law to delegate the Chief Building Official the authority to issue conditional building permits and impose any necessary conditions or restrictions on the permit, be approved.

THAT Council direct staff to proceed with an RFP process to dispose of the subject property in conjunction with the abutting property municipally addressed as 100 Second Street (formerly the Collingwood Public Library), in accordance with the Land Sale By-law.

THAT the motion to direct staff to proceed with an RFP process to dispose of 100 Second Street be deferred until the surplus property report is brought forth to Council. (July 19th, 2010)
