Ride for Dog Guides 2012
The Lions Foundation of Canada is a national charity that trains Dog Guides in five distinct programs to help Canadians with disabilities. Each Dog Guide costs approximately $20,000 to raise and train, yet is provided at no cost to qualified applicants of all ages from coast to coast. The Foundation relies solely on donations and fundraising events like the Ride for Dog Guides.
This year a Ride for Dog Guides will be held in Wasaga Beach on Saturday, June 16, 2012.
Registration is at 10:00am and the ride begins promptly at 11:00am.
Including a Poker Run, this fun event is approximately 2 hours of scenic riding throughout the Georgian Triangle.
Thanks to sponsors, both national and at the local level, all proceeds go directly toward training Dog Guides for Canadian children and adults.
