Tender No. PW2012-01 Tenders for the Construction of the Hurontario Street & Collins/Cameron Street Intersection Improvement Project

 

 

Tenders, sealed in envelopes clearly marked as to contents, will be received by the Town of Collingwood, Attention:  Sara Almas - Clerk until 1:00 p.m. local time on Friday, May 18, 2012 for the construction of the works described below.

 

The tenders will be opened and read publicly at the Town office directly following the tender closing.

 

The purpose of this project is to improve the flow of increased pedestrian and vehicular traffic volumes at the intersection. The work of the project will generally include: installation of left turn lanes and associated road widenings and resurfacing and concrete curb replacement on Hurontario Street, Cameron Street and Collins Street; installation of new concrete sidewalks on Collins Street and Cameron Street; replacement of intersection signalization; drainage improvements on Cameron Street and Collins Street, and; sanitary sewer installation on Collins Street. The work will also include all removals, restoration and service connections associated with the above scope of work.

 

Complete tender documents will be available for pick-up at 12:00 p.m. local time on Friday, May 4, 2012 and may be obtained from Greenland Consulting Engineers on payment in the amount of $175.00 (HST Included) per set payable to the Consulting Engineer which is non-refundable.

 

Each tender must be accompanied by a tender deposit in the form of a certified cheque in the amount of $75,000.00 made payable to the Corporation of the Town of Collingwood, along with an executed Agreement to Bond.

 

Tenders are subject to a formal contract being prepared and executed.  The Corporation of the Town of Collingwood reserves the right to reject any or all tenders and the lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
