STAFF REPORTS
Highway 26 West Resurfacing – Status Report Following PIC#1
Brian MacDonald, Manager, Engineering Services and Ron Kerr, Project Manager, R.J. Burnside & Associates Limited presented an update to the Highway 26 West Environmental Assessment process for the proposed resurfacing project.  The alternative options and preferred solutions were reviewed for Council’s information.   Mr. MacDonald advised Council that the second public information centre will be held on September 11th, 2013.
 
Quarterly Financial Update
Marjory Leonard, Treasurer provided a detailed review of the second quarter financial reports, noting that the finances are generally on target to meet year-end budget targets.

THAT Council request a staff report to address the steps and framework needed to proceed with a potential tiered parking structure in the downtown as identified in the 2009 parking study, to include consideration for public/private partnerships, including potential commercial/retail/residential/LEEDS standards components; attached hereto. 
 
September 17, 2012
THAT Council direct Staff to prepare a report to determine the connectivity between the existing and potential developments with the Highway 26 West corridor.
 
April 29, 2013
THAT Council request staff prepare a report to investigate the trails system as it relates to Harbour Street from Highway 26 toward the Georgian Trail and how it related to the trail system on the north side (Dawson Dr / Balmoral Village), ownership of the trails and the long term link of the trail system within this area.
