About the Budget Committee
The Budget Committee was established to address matters relating to the municipal budget process.
The Budget Committee Objective:
“The Budget Committee assists Council in the provision of effective municipal government by overseeing the administrative systems related to the budget process and making appropriate recommendations to Council.”
The Budget Committee is comprised of the Mayor (or designate) and two (2) members of Council who are appointed by Council with the support and resources from the Office of the Treasurer. The Term of Office for the committee shall run concurrently with the Term of Office of the appointing Council.
