The Purpose of Land Use Planning

The Planning Services  department guides, regulates and makes recommendations  regarding  community  growth and  development  in a manner that protects the environment, enhances quality of life, promotes a complete community and involves the public in the decisions that affect them.

The planning department provide services regarding the Official Plan and Zoning By-law (including zoning compliance reports)  documents for the Town of Collingwood, exercising control over the subdivision of land, and indirectly by providing municipal services and pursuing municipal policies which support and reinforce the land use planning objectives of the Municipality and County of Simcoe.

Hours of Operation

Location: Municipal Offices located at  55 Ste. Marie Street (back doors of the building)

Monday to Friday
8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Holiday Hours for December 2018:

Offices will be closed December 25, 26 and 27 to observe Statutory Holidays

Closed December 24, 27, 28, and 31st 

Re-Opening Tuesday, January 2nd, 2018 at 8:30 AM 

Please note:  The Clerk's Department will be open December 27 and 28 at 97 Hurontario Street to maintain a minimal level of service.
