Aquatic Programming & Lessons

Annual Fall Closure:

  • Centennial Aquatic Centre will be closed for annual fall maintenance from Monday September 3rd - Sunday September 23rd. The facility will reopen on Monday September 24th. All programs are cancelled during this time.

Centennial Aquatic Centre offers various programs outlined by Lifesaving Society standards. We offer public swims, Aquafit, lane swims, Learn to Swim lessons, Lifesaving Leadership courses and First Aid & Standard CPR.

Drop-In Programs

General Admission is $4.25 per adult, $3.25 per child or senior and Family Admission is $9 per family. For a complete list of admission fees, click here.

Please note that the Warm Water Pool is for therapeutic use only during Lane Swim times.  During Public Swim and Family Swim, families with children under the age of 6 are welcome to use the pool.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Holiday Swim Schedule

Centennial Aquatic Centre will be open on select holidays from 9:00a.m. - 3:00p.m.;

  • Lane Swim, 9:00a.m. - 10:00a.m.
  • Family Swim, 10:00a.m. - 11:30a.m.
  • Lane Swim, 12:00p.m. - 1:00p.m.
  • Public Swim, 1:00p.m. - 3:00p.m.

Family Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, & Thanksgiving Monday.

Facility closed on New Years Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, & Easter Sunday.

Admission Policy

Public Admission Standards apply to visitors during unregistered program times at the Centennial Aquatic Centre.

Children – 5 years of age and younger

  • Must be accompanied in the water by a parent or adult guardian (minimum 14-years of age)                                                                  
  • Parent or adult guardian is responsible for their direct supervision and must be within arm’s reach of the child at all times
  • Maximum two children per parent or adult guardian

Children – 6 to 9 years of age

  • Must be accompanied in the water by a parent or adult guardian (minimum 14-years of age)
  • Parent/guardian is responsible for their direct supervision and must be able to give immediate assistance
  • Non-swimmers must remain within arm’s reach of their parent or adult guardian
  • Maximum four children per parent or adult guardian
  • A swim test may be administered at the discretion of the Lifeguard for participation in deep water activities.

Children – 10 years of age and older

  • May swim without a parent or guardian
  • Recommended to always swim with a buddy
