Town Seeks Public Feedback on Second Habitat in Towns: Collingwood World Summit 2021

Urban Economy Forum and UN-Habitat in partnership with the Town of Collingwood is organizing the 2nd Habitat in Towns: Collingwood World Summit, virtually in Collingwood this year. The Summit is focused on UN Sustainable Development Goal 11: Make cities inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable.
 
The 2020 Habitat in Towns: Collingwood World Summit included international panelists, experts and participants sharing their sustainability practices, creating synergies for collaboration and efficiency and exchanging ideas. The key themes included:
•    Urban Assessment towards realizing Sustainable Development Goals
•    Sustainable Resources, Urban Economy, Municipal Finance, and Investment Opportunities
•    Families: Women and Youth as a fundamental component for Sustainable Town Development
•    Impacts of COVID-19 on Town Development and Sustainability
 
The 2021 Summit is tentatively scheduled on October 7th and 8th 2021. Themes for the 2021 Summit are being developed and will include reports back on initiatives from projects kicked off from the 2020 Summit. The community is invited to complete a short survey to provide input on potential themes and topics for the 2021 Collingwood World Summit. The survey will close Monday, June 14th at 1:00 p.m.
