Primary and Secondary Schools

Collingwood is home to numerous elementary and secondary public schools in the Simcoe County District School Board. Browse the directory of local public schools. If your family is considering alternative schooling, look into Little House Montessori School or Pretty River Academy. Collingwood also plays host to the Oxford Learning Centre, which offers after-school support to improve your child’s learning.

Post-Secondary Education

Collingwood is home to the South Georgian Bay campus of Georgian College. In 2013 Georgian College was ranked 3rd in the world.

The South Georgian Bay campus offers numerous opportunities for continuing education, including new courses on food handling safety and food entrepreneurialism.

Georgian College offers a mentorship program in conjunction with other services in the Town of Collingwood.

French Immersion and Catholic Education Opportunities

The Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) offers French Immersion (FI) at select schools throughout Simcoe County beginning in Grade 1. The goal of the FI program is to enable students to communicate in French with a high level of proficiency, enabling them to function with ease in both English and French. Continuing Education

The Collingwood Learning Centre is one of 6 Learning Centres with the Adult & Continuing Education Department of the Simcoe County District School Board. If you are 18 years or older and looking to obtain your high school diploma, the Collingwood Learning Centre offer various credit courses to help you achieve your goal.

TRACKS Employment Resource Services is a community based, not-for-profit agency established in 1986.  They provide dynamic career services aimed at Job Seekers and Employers to achieve employment success outcomes, by connecting individuals looking for work with employers looking to hire. The Agency delivers employment services at no charge, to adults, newcomers to Canada, persons with disabilities, students and youth.
