Municipal and School Board Elections are held every four years in Ontario, with the next election scheduled for October 24, 2022. This election includes the election of Collingwood Council including the position of Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and seven Councillors, as well as school board trustees.

Members of Collingwood Council are elected through an at large election process, meaning each council member represents all tax payers and residents of Collingwood and not a specific ward or area.

    To help prepare for the 2022 municipal election, the Town asked how you want to vote. Your feedback helped Council decide on the voting methods for the election taking place on Monday, October 24, 2022. Eligible electors will be able to cast their ballot utilizing a digital ballot over the internet or by paper ballot.

    Saturday October 8, 2022, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 
    Wednesday October 12, 2022, 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. 
    Saturday October 15, 2022, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 
    Wednesday October 19, 2022, 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. 
    Saturday October 22, 2022, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 
    Voting Day: Monday October 24, 2022, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. 

    Internet Voting Period: 
    Vote anytime, anywhere using your own personal device. Internet voting opens October 8, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. and closes October 24, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. 

    Collingwood Public Library: Access to electronic devices to cast a ballot utilizing internet voting will be available on the dates and times provided for Paper Ballot voting.

    A Voter Information Letter will be mailed to all eligible voters that are on the voters list as of September 1 that contains instructions on how and where to vote. Confirm you are on the voters list by visiting

    Free Public Transit

    Municipal transit is free of charge on Election Day (October 24, 2022) to assist electors in getting to the polls. There is a bus stop located adjacent to the Collingwood Public Library (55 Ste. Marie St., Collingwood) with the last pickup at approximately 8:35 p.m. that evening. Buses stop at the library approximately once an hour. More frequent buses may be caught at the Collingwood Bus Terminal located at the intersection of Second St. and Pine St. For further information visit
