The Town of Collingwood celebrates National Volunteer Week from April 19 to 25, 2020, and urges our fellow citizens and organizations to recognize the crucial role played by volunteers in our community.

Volunteers in Collingwood mentor our children, feed our hungry, comfort our lonely, beautify our green spaces, share their expertise with Committees & Boards, help our Library grow, and fundraise for our charitable organizations. The collective result of the work done by our Town’s volunteers is that Collingwood is a more desirable place to live.

Thank You Volunteers on our Committees & Boards
The Town of Collingwood relies on numerous volunteers on our committees and boards, helping our Library, Museum, Trails, assisting at municipal events and participating in various programs and services that are fundamental to the health and prosperity of our municipality.

With 22 teens who sit on the teen advisory committee, the Library clocked 1,470 hours of volunteer time in 2019!

Thank You Museum Volunteers
The Museum relies on numerous volunteers for its day to day operations. Whether its coordinating the Museum's textile collection, lending a telescope and other materials for Museum programming, or lending a helping hand at the Museum's Shipyard Social Event, the Town and Museum are thankful to all who volunteer their time.

Thank You Trails Volunteers
The Collingwood Trails encompasses over 60 kilometers of recreational trails for cyclists, walkers, joggers, skiers, and snowshoers, as well as adults and kids commuting to work or school. THANK YOU to our Trail Captain Volunteers who monitor the trails on a regular basis assisting in ensuring high quality trails all season long!

Thank You Distinguished Volunteers
