Museum Literary Collectors Night

Join the Collingwood Museum and Collingwood Public Library for the first ever literary-themed Collectors’ Night on Tuesday, July 28 at 7:00 PM and share your love of literary works and the collections they have inspired.

Has your interest in a specific book, series, or genre resulted in a personal collection? Big or small, we want to hear about it!

Perhaps you collect comics, works by a specific author, or memorabilia related to books? Do you have a Hogwarts-themed room in your home, a bottle of raspberry cordial in your pantry, or every edition of The Hobbit on your shelf? This event is for you!

Interested in joining but don’t have an item to share? As a viewer, you’ll have the ability to ask questions and join the conversation without the pressure of being on screen.

The event will be hosted on ZOOM, a user-friendly video conferencing platform that is presently being used by the Town of Collingwood for staff, committee, and council meetings.

Pre-registration is required and please note that the number of collectors sharing an item will be limited for timing purposes. Each collector will have up to five (5) minutes to share one item of their choosing.

The deadline for registration to feature an item is Monday, July 27 at 12:00 PM.

The popular Collectors’ Night event has become a staple in the Collingwood Museum’s program offerings. Following the success of its first virtual offering, Museum staff are looking forward to partnering with the Collingwood Public Library to explore our community’s literary collections.
