The Competition Is On!

Municipal politicians put a lot of kilometres on their feet while carrying out their duties but which of the three local councils can rack up the most steps taken in a two-month period?

Council members for Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, and Clearview Township will find out at the start of September when a neighbourly competition ends.

Since Canada Day, the three councils have logged their daily steps to promote healthy and active lifestyles.

The numbers to date are as follows:
Town of Collingwood 680.08 kilometres
Town of Wasaga Beach 948.17 kilometres
Township of Clearview 1018.02 kilometres

The winning council at the end of the exercise will get to see its municipal flag fly for a two-week period in the neighbouring communities.
