Interim Control By-law, Land Use Planning Policy Study   - We Want to Hear from You!

Following the passing of an Interim Control By-law (ICBL) on April 26, 2021, the Town moved quickly to address the challenge of future water capacity allocation by advancing a Land Use Planning Policy Study. The goal is to implement the recommendations of the Study in advance of the expiration of the one-year ICBL study period.  Planning for sustainable growth within a municipality requires an alignment between land use planning and infrastructure decisions to ensure that hard services are available to support construction.

A link to Staff Report P2021-35 with a best practices review and the recommended tools for a Servicing Capacity Allocation Framework will be available for review at Engage.collingwood.ca.

Public engagement sessions were held Tuesday, November 23rd. If you were unable to attend a session you can still provide comments, ask questions, and find more information at
