Notice of the Adoption of an Official Plan Amendment
TAKE NOTICE that on the 28th day of October, 2019 the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Collingwood passed By-law No. 2019-070 pursuant to Section 17 and Section 21 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P . 13, as amended. By-law No. 2019-070 is a by-law to adopt Official Plan Amendment No. 43 which makes changes to the Town of Collingwood Official Plan (2004).
Official Plan Amendment No. 43 pertains to land legally described as Part Lot 41, Concession 7 and Part 1 on Reference Plan 51R-33507, Town of Collingwood, County of Simcoe, and municipally addressed as 360 Raglan Street. Official Plan Amendment No. 43 is applicable to the proposed rear yard addition at 360 Raglan Street.
THE PURPOSE of Official Plan Amendment No. 43 is to allow an addition to an existing building with an 18 metre setback to the Pretty River; and
THE EFFECT of Official Plan Amendment No. 43 is to permit the proposed building addition into the 30 metre setback from the top of stable bank of the Pretty River. Note that Council has also passed amending Zoning By-law No. 2019-071 (Town File No. D084119)
Effect of Written and Oral Submissions on Decision: Public comments, as summarized in the Planning staff report, were considered as part of the decision making process.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION regarding Official Plan Amendment No. 43 and its proposed changes to the Town of Collingwood Official Plan (2004) is available to the public for inspection at the Town of Collingwood Planning Services located at 55 Ste. Marie Street, Collingwood, Ontario, Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Be advised that Council for the Town of Collingwood has forwarded Official Plan Amendment No. 43 to the Council of the County of Simcoe (as the approving authority) for its review, and if deemed appropriate, to approve Official Plan Amendment No. 43.
Any person or public body will be entitled to receive notice of the decision of the approval authority if a written request to be notified of the decision (including the person’s or public body’s address, fax number or email address) is made to the approval authority.
