Proclamation - Complex Regional Pain Syndrome Awareness Day - November 5, 2021

WHEREAS, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CPRS), is a nerve disorder that causes chronic and severe pain; and 

WHEREAS, The symptoms of CRPS are often described as burning that is out of proportion to the severity of the initial injury and can include extreme sensitivity to the touch and swelling; and 

WHERAS, CRPS remains a poorly understood condition with no cure; and 

WHERAS, Members of the CRPS community will be spreading awareness of this disease and who it can affect on November 5, 2021.

NOW THEREFORE, I, Brian Saunderson, Mayor of the Town of Collingwood,

DO HEREBY PROCLAIM November 5, 2021 as “Complex Regional Pain Syndrome Awareness Day” in the Town of Collingwood.
