The Town’s PRC Department seeks to keep the community active, connected, and well amid COVID-19

The Town of Collingwood has launched an online portal called RallyPoint that aims to continue facilitating active living for all ages and abilities through community inclusion, culture, art, and social connection in the wake of COVID-19 physical distancing and self-isolation.

This new activity and resource hub was created by the Town’s Parks, Recreation, and Culture Department (PRC) as a means to bring Collingwood Together At Home (#cwoodtogetherathome). A collection of online programs, activities, and resources, RallyPoint invites the community to explore parks, recreation, arts, and culture in non-traditional ways in the absence of the Town’s regular programs and events.

Join the fun at www.collingwood.ca/rallypoint

Listed links will showcase virtual experiences and resources in education, physical activity, culture, music, poetry, and more. Icons will further identify the resources that are local to Collingwood.

In order to keep RallyPoint content fresh and relevant, PRC is asking the community to participate by submitting content and opportunities. Local businesses, groups, and organizations who have developed online or non-traditional programming are encouraged to provide details using the RallyPoint online form. Free and fee-based activities are welcome.

“Active and inclusive communities are resilient communities and the Town’s PRC department will continue to use its resources to support the resiliency and well-being of our community during this challenging time,” states Mayor Brian Saunderson, “Join us online, where we will continue to thrive as an active community and share in our together at home experiences.”

Along with RallyPoint, the Town of Collingwood is encouraging community togetherness through Engage Collingwood, where residents and businesses can share stories and give positive shout outs.
