Every year, the Town of Collingwood inspects and repairs approximately $50,000 to $60,000 in heaved or damaged sidewalk.

The County continues to experience impacts to curbside waste collection services and is taking steps to proactively mitigate impacts moving forward for the rest of the summer. The County is doing everything it can to get waste materials off the streets for residents. Garbage and green bin collection has been prioritized – most misses have been related to recycling materials.
Starting August 6, 2019, the County is launching two new LINX Transit Service routes and assuming the operations of an existing connecting link between Collingwood and Wasaga Beach.

Temporary Road Closure on Side Launch Way from Heritage Drive to North Pine Street from 6:00 AM on Friday, August 9 to 8:00 PM on Monday, August 12 due to the Sidelaunch Days Harbour Festival.
Temporary Road Closure on Cedar Street from Fourth Street to Fifth Street from 7:00 AM on Wednesday, July 31 to 4:00 PM on Thursday, August 1 due to new sewer installation.
Beginning on Wednesday, July 31, the sidewalk in front of Town Hall will be unavailable during the day due to brick restoration. Sidewalk access is being rerouted to the west side of Hurontario Street via the pedestrian walkway, then to Second Street/Simcoe Street. Town Hall main entrance can only be accessed from the north by heading south along Hurontario Street from Simcoe Street while the sidewalk in front of Town Hall is closed.
Sonya Skinner joins Town on August 6 and seeks to enhance enterprise-wide customer service
