As per The Ontario Heritage Act, Section 29; 14, a, iii Notice is hereby made that the Council of the Corporation of Collingwood passed By-law No. 2019-083 during its regular meeting held December 16th, 2019 `The purpose of this by-law was to designate; 400 Maple Street as having Cultural Heritage Value and Interest under Section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act.

The Town of Collingwood is undergoing a review of its water and wastewater user rates. The purpose is to evaluate and gather the appropriate data to provide an updated rate structure that will support the needs of the community. Water and wastewater are self-funded utilities, meaning that they are non-tax supported operations. While it seems freshwater is plentiful in our municipality, we still must be financially and environmentally responsible water users and not take our freshwater asset (The Georgian Bay) for granted.

Please take notice that the Centennial Aquatic Centre will be closed from Saturday, January 18 at 12:00 PM to Monday, January 20 at 7:30 AM due to scheduled maintenance. Lessons scheduled for the morning of Saturday, January 18 will continue as scheduled. The Aquatic Centre will close at Noon. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The application intake is from December 18 to February 3, 2020. We are also seeking three volunteers to participate in the 2020 assessment process of applications to the Town of Collingwood for financial grants.

NOTICE - Hydrant Flushing on Alma Street and Alberta Street

Please take notice that customers on Alma Street and Albert Street may experience discoloured water due to recent hydrant flushing in the area. If you are experiencing water discolouration, please run a tap for a few minutes until the water clears. The discolouration is due to sediment being dislodged from the pipes. If you have any questions please contact the Water Department at 705-445-1581.
