Collingwood, ON [November 12, 2020] - You are invited to join local artists, musicians, writers, creative entrepreneurs and cultural administrators to hear inspirational presentations, share ideas and connect online at the 7th Annual Virtual Creative Collingwood Symposium.
The Town of Collingwood and event partner South Georgian Bay Small Business Enterprise Centre will host the online event on Wednesday November 25 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 pm.
Simcoe County extends Business Recovery Survey to November 23
The Town of Collingwood is currently drafting its 2021 Operating & Capital Budget and is seeking the Community’s input.
Through the draft 2021 Budget, the Town strives to balance the needs of current residents and the challenges of our community’s unprecedented growth and mounting investment needs, with finding opportunities for service efficiency, business attraction, and enhancements to our waterfront and public spaces.

Please exercise caution on all shorelines and waterfront trails in the Town of Collingwood. There has recently been significant wind and wave activity impacting Nottawasaga Bay shorelines. These conditions leave the shoreline prone to damage, slides, sinkholes, and flooding. The public is cautioned against walking near shorelines in all parks, including Harbourview Park and Sunset Point Park.
WHEREAS: 2020 is the 50th anniversary of the Taoist Tai Chi® arts in Canada that promote the ancient practices of Taoism, which enrich mental, spiritual, and physical wellbeing. Many people who practice these arts share their experience of this practice which enhanced their social and spiritual connections, helped relieve pain, reduced stress, improved posture, circulation, and balance; and
The Town of Collingwood will host a virtual Collingwood Judicial Inquiry press conference with Mayor Brian Saunderson on November 2, 2020, following Justice Frank Marrocco’s presentation of the Judicial Inquiry Report. The approximate time of this conference is 2:30 p.m., but please note that this time may change pending the schedule of the report release by the Inquiry.
The Town of Collingwood’s, Shipyards Amphitheatre, located at 2 North Maple Street, received Diamond Winner status for this year’s Reader’s Choice Awards’ for Best Concert Venue, announced on October 29.
The Collingwood Fire Department is reminding residents to prevent carbon monoxide (CO) in the home by getting all fuel-burning appliances inspected annually, during Carbon Monoxide Awareness Week (November 1-7). Daylight Saving Time is a good reminder to check all alarms in your home.
