With the research, consultation, and design aspects now complete, the Town is looking forward to moving onto construction of the Awen' Waterplay. Effectively this has two projects occurring at the same time: site servicing, which includes bringing water, wastewater, electrical, from the area of Cedar and Oak Streets, PLUS, establishing grading, earthworks, and water play and collection spaces, constructing the water play infrastructure, installing a control room, washrooms, an outdoor change room, and an outdoor seating space.
This month’s Featured Artist is painter Alison Boyack who uses the intricacies of pattern, colour, and light found in nature to invoke her expressive landscapes. See Alison’s work at the Tremont Hall Gallery, 80 Simcoe Street, until March 3 or visit her studio at 65 Simcoe Street.

The Town of Collingwood is offering additional Public Swim times on Wednesday and Thursday from 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM at the Centennial Aquatic Centre.
At the Central Park Arena, there will be Shinny Hockey for Elementary School aged kids on Wednesday from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM and Thursday from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM. Admission for Shinny is $5 per person and full equipment is required.
Please take notice that the section of trail in Harbourview Park, at the north end of Oak Street, is now open.
This trail section was closed since Friday, January 3 due to bridge replacement.

Her Honour the Hon. Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, will make an official visit to the Town of Collingwood on Tuesday, February 4, where she will meet with His Worship Mayor Brian Saunderson and participate in a roundtable discussion on United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. This will be Her Honour’s 85th official visit during her term.
Regular Council meetings are held on the third and fourth Monday of every month in Council Chambers, Town Hall located at 97 Hurontario Street, Collingwood at 5:00 PM unless otherwise posted.
