Celebrate the country and community we call home at the Collingwood Festival for Canada, June 29 - July 1. This glowing family festival in the historic, harbour front community of Collingwood is a traditional tribute to this glorious country.  Enjoy a full line-up of activities for the entire family including strolling entertainment, live music and on-the-water events. In the heart of historic Downtown Collingwood you will find unique shops, restaurants, including more than 25 outdoor patios to enjoy a quick coffee, leisurely lunch or a gourmet dinner. Of course Canada Day wouldn't be complete without the famous pancake breakfast, Citizenship Reaffirmation Ceremony, gigantic Canada Day birthday cake, and spectacular fireworks in Collingwood downtown!

32nd Annual Kids’ Fishing Derby
8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Shipyard Park, Heritage Drive near the boat launch
For more than 30 years, the Optimist Club of Collingwood has initiated and sponsored a fish derby for the youth of the area. The event takes place at Shipyard Park near the boat launching station. Kids 0-14 fish and compete for trophies in various categories and age groups including the biggest fish, smallest fish, and ugliest fish. Fishing rods and bait provided. Registration required to receive bait, rods, and BBQ tickets.

Collingwood Downtown Farmers’ Market
8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Pine Street parking lot at the corner of Pine and Second streets.
Local vendors feature a wide range of organic vegetables and fruit, baking, meats and cheeses, flowers and trees, jams and preserves, maple syrup, honey, handcrafted items and more. Special activities for the family. Entertainment and artists are also on site.

Collingwood Arts and Music Festival

Simcoe Street between Ste Marie and St Paul Street
All new Collingwood Arts & Music Festival with artists, live bands, live children’s theatre, authors and movies. This is a one day only event from 9 am to 6 pm on Simcoe St. Art and pottery demonstrations and live art battle on the street!

Featuring comedy, axe juggling and gigantic muscles, ending with a daring aerial rope act. 
In between shows a towering 9’ Lumberjack will stroll the streets of Downtown Collingwood.

Sightseeing Harbour Cruise by Collingwood Charters

Explore Collingwood’s beautiful harbour rich in maritime history and learn interesting facts about the once active Collingwood Shipyards famous for Side-launching new ships. Enjoy the rugged beauty of the Collingwood Terminals and continue on your journey cruising by the Nottawasaga lighthouse with the picturesque Escarpment in the background.

Get Out On The Water

Collingwood Harbour, 1 Heritage Drive
Have you ever wanted to try your hand at sailing? On June 30th, the public is invited to get out on the water and take part in a free and fun day to try out this great water activity.  Get out on the water is an Ontario-wide initiative to introduce people to water sports in a fun and safe way. Spaces are limited so be sure to register on site.

Starts at Hume Street Bridge and concludes at the Pretty River Bridge

Individually numbered duckies are released at the Hume St Bridge into the Pretty River, ending at the Pretty River Parkway Bridge. First Place – $1000.00; Second Place – $500.00; Third Place – $250.00

Bring the family down for a wonderful musical experience featuring Coming of Age with a memorable collection of Canadian favourites followed by Summer of 69, Canada’s foremost tribute band to Bryan Adams.
