Skating Programs
All programs listed below are held at the Central Park Arena and pre-registration is required. We aim to provide programming weekly during the days and times below, however some exceptions apply due to special events and tournaments.
Please note that all equipment needs to be provided by each participant. We do not offer skate rentals.

- Session runs from September to March
- Skaters are expected to skate at a moderate and safe speed in the same direction (clockwise) as the other skaters. Skaters should change direction of skating (counter-clockwise) at the mid-point of session.

- No sticks, chairs, strollers or sleds are permitted on the ice surface.
- Learn-to-skate aids are permitted, but must be CSA approved.
- Adults should wear skates or ice cleats. CSA approved helmets are recommended

$8.50 per player, pre-registration is required
- Mondays from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m., Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., and Fridays from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. starting September 4, 2024 to May 28, 2025.
- Full equipment is required to be worn and supplied by the participant.
Please note that some dates/times may be unavailable throughout the season due to holidays or other special events.
Current Status: CLOSED FOR THE SEASON
The Outdoor Rink at Central Park functions as an outdoor skating rink, weather permitting, and operates from early January until end of February.
All programs at the Outdoor rink are weather dependent. Changes or updates to the schedule will be shared on our website and social media. Skating is free and registration is not required for programming, however rentable time requires advance booking and payment online through your Perfect Mind account. Patrons are expected to obey the following rules to ensure a safe and pleasant skating experience:
- Patrons must respect and follow Rules of Conduct at all times. Please report all accidents or injuries to arena personnel immediately.
- It is recommended that skaters under the age of 12 years be under supervision of an adult while participating in our open ice-skating program.
- Foul language or inappropriate behaviour, as outlined in the Fair Play Code of Conduct, will not be tolerated.
- It is highly recommended that skaters wear Canadian Standards Association (CSA) approved helmets during the skating sessions.
- No sticks are permitted on the ice surface.
- Skaters are expected to skate at a moderate and safe speed in the same direction as other skaters.
- Skaters are not permitted to skate backwards or perform figure skating maneuvers.
- Skaters are not permitted to stand or gather at one spot on the ice surface, creating the possibility of collision.
- Wheelchairs, ice sledges, and novice or physically challenged persons with skating aids are permitted at the designated area at the end space of ice surface. Persons accompanying these participants on the ice must have ice cleats on their footwear or be wearing skates. Entry to the ice surface must be away from other skaters. For the safety of all skaters, a wheelchair shall have its wheels cleaned prior to entering onto the ice surface as to not track any foreign matter onto the surface. CSA approved helmets and ice cleats are recommended for all participants in the designated skating area.
- Carrying children while on the ice surface is not permitted at any time.
- The use of headsets, cell phones or hand-held electronic devices is not permitted while skating.
- Food and drinks are not permitted on the ice surface.
Participants violating the Rules of Conduct will be given a verbal warning. A subsequent infraction will then be instructed to leave the ice surface. Repetitive violations of the Rules of Conduct may lead to a suspension or total loss of the privilege of participation in public skating.
