This evening’s presentation will highlight the life and work of Canadian landscape and wildlife artist Harvey Bodach, who has received national recognition and numerous awards. Harvey draws inspiration from creation, using a realist style to express his observations in art form. The Yonnhe’ón:we storytelling series returns for its final show of 2024, inviting the community to dive deep into the richness of and power of Indigenous storytelling. Join us on Thursday, November 14th at 7:00 p.m. at the Simcoe Street Theatre for an unforgettable evening that honours the spirit of stories as they weave together history, culture, and the shared human experience.

Attendees of this Fall’s Yonnhe’ón:we will enjoy an inspiring lineup featuring a short play, a musical performance, and a documentary each celebrating Indigenous storytelling and talent.

This event takes place at the Simcoe Street Theatre, located at 65 Simcoe Street in Collingwood and will feature five dynamic speakers who bring a wealth of knowledge, experience and positive perspectives on the vulva, healthy relationships, sexuality, body literacy, diversity and most importantly, open dialogue.

Each speaker brings with them a question or concern that they’d like to answer and discuss with the group. The audience is invited to participate and bring questions of their own.

On Thursday October 3rd, Gwen Lamont will be at Black Bellows Brewing Company for the Collingwood launch of her memoir. The evening will include two readings, a prepared Question and Answer segment and a social hour. Gwen always finds a way to connect with everyone following the program. The ticket price of $50 includes a signed book, a bottle of "Into the Light" white wine from Coffin Ridge Winery (that Gwen and her husband Neil own), hors d'oeuvres and a drink.
