A marriage licence is required for all marriages in Ontario. For current information on requirements for marriage, please visit the Ontario Getting Married Page.
Your marriage must be performed by an officiant who is authorized by the Province of Ontario. A list of authorized officiants can be found on the Ontario Officiant Database.
Application forms can be picked up at Town Hall or can be downloaded online.
Completed applications should be signed by both applicants and emailed to clerk@collingwood.ca, with two pieces of acceptable government-issued identification. Identification requirements are included below. If either party has been divorced in Canada, a scanned copy of the original or court-certified true copy of the Certificate of Divorce (Form 36B) or Decree Absolute is also required. A divorce judgement (Form 25A) will not be accepted.
