At a meeting held on January 22, 2025 Northumberland County Council approved Council Resolution # 2025-01-22-035, adopting the below recommendation from the January 6,
2025 Public Works Committee meeting:
Moved by: Councillor Mandy Martin
Seconded by: Councillor John Logel
"That the Public Works Committee, having considered correspondence from the Municipality of St. Charles regarding 'Deposit Return Program' recommend that County
Council support this correspondence;
and Further That the Committee recommend that County Council direct staff to send a copy of this resolution to the Honourable Andrea Khanjin (Minister of Environment, Conservation and Parks), the Honourable Peter Bethlenfalvy (Minister of Finance), the Honourable David Piccini (Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development and MPP for Northumberland Peterborough-South), the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO), and all Ontario Municipalities."
