Property & Person Compliance

The Town of Collingwood has established a series of by-laws to protect individuals and properties, promoting the overall health, safety, and well-being of the community. These by-laws are an essential part of our commitment to maintaining community standards and include, but are not limited to, regulations for Clean Yards, Fences, Long Grass and Weeds, Noise, Property Standards, and Public Nuisances.

Property-Related By-laws:

Property owners are responsible for maintaining, cleaning, and repairing their properties to meet specific standards set by the Town. These by-laws help ensure proper upkeep of yards, buildings, and other structures, contributing to a safe, clean and well-maintained community for all residents.

Person-Related By-laws:

In addition to property-related standards, the Town enforces by-laws regulating certain behaviours and activities that may impact the community, including Noise, Firearms, and Public Nuisance. These by-laws help mitigate undesirable behaviours or activities that could negatively impact the community, enhance community safety and uphold the quality of life in Collingwood.

By complying with these by-laws, we can all contribute to making Collingwood a safe, welcoming and enjoyable place to live, work and play.
