The Business Licensing Compliance sub-service, delivered by the Town’s Legislative and By-law Services Divisions, ensures that businesses operate safely and in alignment with community standards. Through licensing, the Town helps promote public health and safety, minimize nuisances, and protect consumers.
Certain businesses, such as transient traders, food vendors, second-hand goods retailers, and short-term accommodations, are required to obtain a licence from the Town before operating. Compliance checks are also conducted to ensure businesses meet licensing requirements and operate responsibly within the community.
