The purpose of the Council Community Grant (CCG) is to assist organizations or individuals that demonstrate social, economic, or environmental benefit to the Town of Collingwood, its citizens, and/or support the Town’s strategic initiatives.
Council Community grants are funded through an allocation from the Town’s annual operating budget. The total dollar amount available for the 2026 Community Grant Program is subject to Council approval of the 2026 Budget.
Grants can be both or either:
- Financial Grant
- In-Kind Grant (support through the provision of municipal resources, e.g., facility rental)
The Maximum Total Grant per applicant is $10 000 and is subject to factors such as qualifications, the number of applicants, and the grant amounts requested.
To qualify, applicants must represent one of the following:
- Non-profit or not-for-profit organization
- Registered charitable organization
- Elementary and/or secondary school
- Other organizations that provide financial support to any organization above
- An individual supported by an organization that demonstrates a social, economic, or environmental benefit to the Town of Collingwood, its citizens, or taxpayers and/or supports the Town’s strategic initiatives
