Do you own land that would be suitable for a Multi-Use Recreation Facility and/or Arts Centre?
The Town of Collingwood is exploring opportunities to enrich our community through the development of an Arts and Cultural Centre and a Multi-Use Recreational Facility. We are seeking your assistance to identify potential sites for these projects! These future-focused spaces will celebrate creativity, promote active lifestyles, and provide inclusive, year-round programming for residents of all ages.
Arts Centre
The current proposed size of the Arts Centre is 43,800 sq ft (4069 sq m) with a desire to explore additional programming space. The minimum site size required for a stand-alone Arts and Cultural Centre based on functional programming of a main performance theatre, lobbies, public spaces, administrative space, and parking is 1.5 acres (0.607 hectares). Smaller site sizes will be considered that will accommodate a two-storey design with underground or above ground parking.
Multi-Use Recreation Facility
Based on functional programming offered in other multi-use recreation facilities, the Town is seeking approximately 20 acres (8.09 hectares) with the potential for Private Public Partnerships. Submissions can include more than one property located immediately adjacent to each other.
