Blue Mountain School Of Landscape Painting Registration Opens

The Blue Mountain School of Landscape Painting is delighted to present our 2026 Spring Workshop Program!

For the first time, we are offering an “Intro to Plein Air” workshop for artists of all levels who are new to plein air painting, led by Janine Marson. You’ll also see some of your favourite instructors returning, including Gord Jones, Art Cunanan, and John David Anderson. We are equally excited to welcome two new instructors—highly accomplished artists Marc Grandbois and Lee Munn—who will be leading workshops in acrylics (oils welcome).

Registration opens January 31 at 7:00 a.m.

The 2026 season marks the 44th year of the Blue Mountain School of Landscape Painting’s spring workshops. This is a rare opportunity to paint at beautiful—and often historic—sites made accessible through the generosity of local property owners.

Established in 1980, the BMSLP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to encouraging and fostering awareness, interest, and talent in landscape painting in the Blue Mountain area. What began as a way to bring instructors to a small group of enthusiastic local artists has grown into a well-respected art school that has provided thousands of students the opportunity to explore, learn, and paint within the stunning landscapes of South Georgian Bay.

Workshops are offered in a variety of mediums and are open to artists of all skill levels.
