Caregiver Support Group for Persons Living with Dementia

This group is not for the person living with a dementia.

Join a free dementia support group to attend with your peers. The group will begin in September and will take place in the FreeSchool room at the Collingwood Public Library at 10 a.m.

Supporting a family member or friend diagnosed with dementia can be a new experience.

Share insights and experiences with each other related to your own personal caregiving.

Learn how other care partners are adjusting to the changes they are experiencing because of dementia.

Discuss and share different strategies regarding self-care.

Discuss and share different strategies regarding care of the person living with dementia.

Receive updated information about dementia and the services available for those living with a           dementia and their care partners.

Eligibility and requirements for the group are as follows:

You/they must be a caregiver of someone with a dementia or cognitive impairment.
You/they must register for the support group prior to the session.
