The Town will be raising a flag in support of the Pink Shirt Day at 12:00 p.m. The flag will be raised at the Community Flag Pole at the Collingwood Public Library, 55 Ste. Marie Street.
About this campaign: Pink Shirt Day began in Berwick, Nova Scotia in response to bullying, two students took a stand, purchasing pink shirts and encouraging classmates to wear pink in support of a student who had been bullied for wearing pink. What started as an act of kindness in 2007 has become a national movement against bullying.
