Land Between Waters Brings the Niagara Escarpment to Life Through Photography, Storytelling and Stewardship

The Town of Collingwood in collaboration with the Collingwood Public Library invites the community to experience the Niagara Escarpment through a captivating evening of photography, storytelling and conversation at the book launch of Niagara Escarpment: Land Between Waters, taking place Thursday, November 5 at 7:00 p.m. at the Simcoe Street Theatre. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Hosted by the Town of Collingwood, this free event brings together acclaimed photographer and publisher Mark Zelinski and regional experts to explore the landscapes, waters, wildlife, cultures and communities connected by the Niagara Escarpment.

Through powerful images and personal stories, Zelinski will share highlights from his tenth book, Niagara Escarpment: Land Between Waters, a visual tribute featuring more than 600 landscape, wildlife and cultural photographs captured across the Escarpment from Southern Ontario to Manitoulin Island.

Zelinski, a Governor General’s Medal recipient and Fellow of both the Explorers Club and the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, has photographed in more than 80 countries over his extensive career.

With forewords by Elder Josh Eshkawkogan and Carolyn King, Land Between Waters brings together ecological, cultural and historical perspectives to tell the story of this extraordinary landscape and the people who have cared for and been connected to it.
