Collingwood residents: registration for summer 2026 swim lessons at the Centennial Aquatic Centre opens soon! This facility is proudly affiliated with the Lifesaving Society and provides swimming programs for all ages and abilities, from parent-and-tot classes to aquatic leadership programs. The Swim for Life program focuses on developing strong swimming skills through in-water practice while incorporating valuable Water Smart® education at each level.
Summer swim lessons will continue to deliver the revised Swim Program introduced in the spring, with updated lesson levels designed to better reflect successful learning outcomes and support clearer skill progression, swimmer confidence, and long-term development.
Registration Dates
- Collingwood resident registration: June 23, 2026, at 7:00 a.m.
- Non-resident registration: June 25, 2026, at 7:00 a.m.
Programs fill quickly, and participants are encouraged to prepare their accounts in advance through the Town's online registration system.
Summer Swim Lesson Session
There are eight classes in total that will run Monday through Thursday evening, between July 20 and July 30, 2026. Please note that there will be no make-up classes for missed lessons.
Preparing for Registration
Swim program registration is completed online through Xplor Recreation (formerly PerfectMind). To help ensure a smooth registration experience, participants should:
- Create or log into their account ahead of registration day
- Confirm that their home address is accurate and up-to-date
- Ensure that all family members are properly linked to their account
Residency status is determined by the address listed in the account. Accounts without a Collingwood-based address are not eligible to register during the resident registration period and must wait until non-resident registration opens on June 25.
