WHEREAS, The Collingwood Music Festival was founded in 2019 by Artistic Director Daniel Vnukowski, world renowned pianist, and is now about to present its sixth season of world class music, and
WHEREAS, The goal of the festival is to inspire an appreciation of live music in South Georgian Bay through exceptional performances, and
WHEREAS, The festival brings together local, national and international musicians, many of whom have been recognized with special awards, and
WHEREAS, The 2025 Festival will offer ‘master classes’ for young musicians to learn from well-known and respected professional artists and will feature young virtuosi in the Rising Stars concert series, and
WHEREAS, The Collingwood Music Festival offers citizens of all ages, the opportunity to experience ten days of incredible music of all genres, presented at First Presbyterian Church in Collingwood, and a ‘Symphony Under the Stars’, a free evening concert at the historic “Village Green” in the Village of Creemore, Clearview Township.
NOW THEREFORE, I, Yvonne Hamlin, Mayor of the Town of Collingwood,
DO HEREBY PROCLAIM July 8th to 18th 2025, as “Collingwood Music Festival Week” in the Town of Collingwood.
